No. This is an independent affiliate site run by people who use Lovable to build products. We are not employees, partners, contractors, or representatives of Lovable Labs Inc. Our opinions are our own. We earn small referral rewards (in credits, not cash) when people sign up through our links.

What's the catch with the +10 free credits?

Accepted Answer

There isn't one. Lovable runs a public referral program. When you sign up through our link, Lovable gives you +10 credits as a welcome bonus, and gives us 100 credits if you eventually subscribe to a paid plan. You get the same software, same pricing, same terms either way. The only difference is you start with 10 extra credits and we get a small reward.

Do I really need zero coding knowledge?

For most projects, yes. The whole point of Lovable is that you don't write code. That said, understanding a few concepts helps you prompt better: what a database is (a place that stores your app's data), what authentication is (proving who a user is), what an API is (how your app talks to other services). You don't need to know how to write any of this. You just need to know it exists.

What if I get stuck?

Lovable has a built-in error handler that explains what went wrong in plain English and offers to fix it. There's also a community Discord, official docs, and a growing library of YouTube tutorials. If you're truly stuck, asking the chat "this isn't working, what should I try?" is a valid prompt.

How do credits work?

Each prompt costs credits. A simple change ("make the button blue") costs about 1 credit. A medium change ("add a contact form") costs 3 to 5 credits. A big feature ("add Stripe checkout") costs 10 to 15 credits. The cost is shown before each prompt runs.

What happens if I run out of credits?

You can buy more credits ad hoc, upgrade your plan, or wait until your next billing cycle resets. Free tier credits reset daily. Paid tier credits reset monthly with rollover up to 1x your monthly allocation.

Free credits expire daily or at the end of the monthly billing cycle. Paid credits roll over up to 1x your monthly allocation on monthly plans, and 12x on annual plans. Anything beyond that cap doesn't roll over.

Can I export my code if I want to leave?

Yes. Lovable has full two-way GitHub sync. Your project is a real React + Vite codebase. You can clone it, run it locally, and host it anywhere. There is no proprietary file format and no lock-in.

What stack does Lovable use?

React with Vite as the default frontend. Tailwind for styling. Supabase for the database, auth, storage, and realtime. The output is real, idiomatic, modern web code that any React developer can read and edit.

Can I connect my own Supabase project?

Yes. You can either let Lovable provision a Supabase project for you, or connect your own existing project. Connecting your own gives you direct access to the SQL editor, RLS policies, and edge functions.

What can't Lovable do well yet?

Native mobile apps (iOS/Android). Heavy 3D or game engines. Real-time multiplayer infrastructure. Anything that requires custom DevOps. For these, you'd build the web app in Lovable and connect it to a separately-built backend or app.

We use Lovable to build our own products and we get asked about it constantly. Rather than answer the same questions in DMs, we built this site. It also happens to earn us referral credits, which lets us ship more stuff in Lovable. Win-win, fully disclosed.
